Halfsies Newsletter #9

Happy late Lunar New Year everyone! Can you believe that another month has passed for 2026? Because I sure can’t. For February, things are moving a little slower than in 2025, but only because part of our team is introducing a new family member to the world, a delay I think we can all agree is well worth it! With both Leah and Jade adjusting to the new little one in their lives, Kelly and I insisted they take a break from Halfsies for a few months and focus their time on their family. So, it may be a few more months before you hear from them again.

With that said, Kelly and I are actively paying attention and working behind the scenes to get this app out to the broader audience. We have a tool that we all believe here can make a positive change in people’s lives. Shoot, this app drastically helped me late last year when an unexpected financial emergency pushed my balance into the negative. But with the help of our Square Up feature, I was able to not only fix my budget after the emergency, but I was also able to do it quickly and with little to no stress.

So, what can you expect soon for Halfsies? Well as for Kelly and myself, we are actively working on the prep before reaching out to individuals and getting our app reviewed by professionals. It is our goal to take all your input, and the input from these reviews to see what we’re doing well, and what we can improve and implement in the future. We have an amazing tool, but as we learned in 2025, sometimes when we are so deep in the development of the next big feature, it is easy to miss something in the process. So, we hope that with all your input, we can better plan future development for features that can enhance your experience with Halfsies.
