Alpha Update 2 (v0.4.1) Release Notes

Hi folks! It's been a bit! Alpha update 2 (v0.4.1) is out, and It adds quite a lot of features! Please note we're making some breaking changes to stash funding so, please read section 4 for those details. Now onto the improvements!

1. Login and signup screens have been completely redone! They have a bit more personality now :)

2. We've created an onboarding flow so folks have a bit more help getting started. You can check it out on an existing account by going to your profile screen and tapping "Restart Onboarding"

3. Linked banks is now Household, and we pretty much redesigned it from the ground up. Each user will now have their own household, and is how you manage your partner, and which accounts you budget together. There's now details screens for accounts, institutions, and you can even nickname your accounts! Your partner can now also link their own institutions onto your household as well.

4. There's now dedicated funding schedules! We've removed stashes having their own funding, and instead tie that stash's funding to a funding schedule. That way if your paycheck changes or your start a new job, all you have to do is change the date on the funding schedule, and your stashes will be funded according to it. Do keep in mind this will break existing stash funding, and you will have add funding to your stashes again through a funding schedule.

5. One of the biggest features we worked on for this release is budget generation. Halfsies will identify recurring transactions, and suggest an entire budget for you. No longer do you need to manually figure out what your recurring expenses are and create stashes for them. Instead, just tap "Generate Budget" under the three dots menu in the budget tab, select recurring transactions you want to create a budget for, select a funding schedule, and watch your entire budget be created for you. Getting an accurate Spend amount has never been so easy!

6. As an aside to budget generation, certain transactions marked as recurring can be assigned to their associated stash automatically as the transaction comes in. This means instead of having to go through your activity section and manually assign transactions to stashes as they come in, you can have Halfsies do it instead. You'll know if a transaction is marked as recurring if you get a popup denoting so when you assign it. You can also view identified recurring transactions listed for "Generate Budget". This applies to funding as well. Funding schedules can be tied to a transaction instead of a specific date, so your stashes will always be funded the moment you get paid, rather then having the guesstimate a date.

7. We've added a solo mode for bank accounts. So if you have an account that you don't share with your partner, you can now denote it as solo, and we'll remove the partner specific features and UI for it. You can switch an account to solo on the Household tab.

8. You can now schedule transfers between virtual accounts and stashes.

9. We've changed up the UI for creating a stash, you can now choose if you want to create an Expense, Goal or Fund directly, instead of Halfsies guessing for you.

10. You can now create a stash directly from any transaction.

11. Loooots of bug fixes.

For testing, please try out all of the features listed above, let us know your thoughts, and if you run into any issues. Please send your feedback to feedback@halfsiesbudgeting.com or use TestFlight's native feedback feature on iOS.
